Kalpana “Kaye” Patel Fraley joined the Office of the General Counsel as the Assistant General Counsel in February 2021.  Prior to this position, she was the Campus Investigator for the Office of Title IX and Clery Compliance at UNCP. Before joining UNCP, Mrs. Fraley was an Associate Attorney with Folkens Law Firm, P.A. in Florence, South Carolina. Mrs. Fraley graduated with honors from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2003 and Appalachian School of Law in December of 2008.

Mrs. Fraley’s role in OGC is to advise UNCP’s campus in EEOC and intellectual property issues. She also specializes in constitutional law, business law, FERPA, and many other areas of pressing legal issues for an institute of higher education. In addition to serving in the OGC, Mrs. Fraley teaches Business Law in the School of Business as an Adjunct professor.
