Winter Weather

University officials are closely monitoring weather forecasts for potential snow and ice in our area. Based on the forecasted potential for winter weather conditions, the university will transition to a Condition 1—Reduced Operations status at 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.

University administrators will continue to evaluate the situation and should forecasts change, we will adjust our condition status. All university updates will be posted to uncp.edu/weather.

Normal operations are scheduled to resume at noon on Saturday, Jan. 11.

About

Keondra Mitchell serves as the Executive in Residence for Student Success and a Lecturer in the Management, Marketing, and International Business Department (MMIB) in the School of Business. As an Executive in Residence for Student Success, she builds partner relationships with decision makers throughout the university and community. She promotes The School of Business through community outreach and programming in order to develop recruitment and retention strategies to help students realize their education goals and achieve professional success.  Her educational background include: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Averett University; Danville, Virginia; and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English, George Mason University; Fairfax, Virginia.  Prior to joining UNCP, Keondra was as a Training Manager at the Community College Workforce Alliance where she led community outreach projects, workforce development training programs for individuals and business and industry in the Richmond, Virginia region.
