Taliyah Daniels is the 2022-23 Student Body President at UNCP. She’s from Longwood, N.C., in Brunswick County, and graduated from West Brunswick High School in 2019. Taliyah is majoring in political science and minoring in sociology. After graduation, she plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration.

While in the Student Government Association, she served as chair of the Student Affairs Committee during her sophomore year and chair of the Academic Affairs Committee during her junior year. Outside of her involvement in the Student Government Association, Taliyah is a Lead Fellow on campus and a Fall '21 initiate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she serves as the Philacter.

Taliyah aspires to bring the campus and community together through her Together We Can Campaign. The campaign highlights the diverse student body on UNCP’s campus and the importance of fostering every voice.
