About
Taona Namalima is a dedicated Computer Science and Mathematics student and Lab Assistant in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. In this role, Taona provides academic support to students, tutoring in foundational courses such as CSC 1760: Intro to Programming and CSC 1750: Intro to Algorithms. Her responsibilities also include updating and designing the department’s website and overseeing technical tasks in the Cybersecurity Lab, including user account maintenance and software installations.
Beyond her lab role, Taona is the co-founder and vice president of the Girls Who Code club on campus, fostering a collaborative environment for those passionate about coding and innovation. With a strong academic grounding in both computer science and mathematics, she brings analytical and problem-solving skills to all her projects and aims to inspire others through her commitment to learning and community-building in STEM.
