In compliance with the 2020 Title IX regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Education, all materials used to train the Title IX Coordinator, Campus Investigator, hearing and appellate officers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process will be available below.
At UNC Pembroke there are required Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence training and education requirements for students, faculty, and staff. Program content is tailored to each audience and educates our campus community about sexual harassment and violence, including how to prevent it, the role of intervention, how to report it, and what campus resources are available.
The Office of Title IX and Clery Compliance conducts training programs throughout the year. The TIXCC team is also available to provide customized training for departments or colleges to address specific concerns (e.g., offering scenarios and team-based collaboration for a more thorough discussion of topics). If you have questions about your training obligations or would like to schedule customized in-person training for your team, please contact the office at 910.521.6281.
