PEMBROKE, N.C. (27 October 2020) — Despite challenges to meeting in person, the University’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta continues to engage students and cultivate creativity and camaraderie, welcoming both members and non-members to take part in its activities.
On March 11, 2020, the UNC system ended in-person classes and transitioned all courses to fully remote instruction because of the COVID19 virus sweeping the globe.
Five UNC Pembroke journalism alumni received third-place honors in a student category for environmental reporting, announced Sept. 30 during an annual award ceremony held by the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ).
The National Science Foundation has awarded UNC Pembroke a grant of $86,880 to develop computer simulations which may be used to test new methods of treating neuromuscular diseases.
“Its Honor is Hereby Pledged,” a solo exhibition featuring the work of renowned contemporary artist Gina Adams, will be on display at the A.D. Gallery at UNC Pembroke through October 22.
