Accepted Freshmen Students

Greetings from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and congratulations on your acceptance to UNC Pembroke! We are delighted that you are one step closer to joining us at BraveNation!

Below you will find a list of items to complete at your earliest convenience:

Create your official BraveWeb account! You will need the SECRET CODE found in your acceptance letter to complete your account registration. Your STUDENT ID is also known as a BANNER ID and can also be found in your decision letter. The BANNER ID will be used very often, so please make note of it. Logging into BraveWeb gives access to BraveMail, Banner Self Service (registration, student records and financial aid), Student Insurance Waiver, Meal Plans and Online Account Center (charges, payments and refunds), etc.

Check your BraveMail. Once you are an accepted student, you will begin receiving important notifications through this email account. Please check your account regularly. You will log in by clicking on “Quick Links” (found at the top of this page) then BraveMail (student). You will log in using your BraveWeb credentials.

Respond to our Offer of Admission.  Please log into your MyUNCP account and respond to our offer of admission.

Apply for Financial Aid (if applicable). Complete your FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov to determine your financial aid eligibility. Make sure you have UNCP listed on the FAFSA so that your aid can be awarded. Please call our Financial Aid Department if you need assistance with this process at 910.521.6255. Please note: Once you have submitted your FAFSA, UNCP will automatically build your award package and notify you through your BraveMail (student email account). This will be available in the spring.

Secure Your Spot for New Student Orientation. Choose UNC Pembroke by securing your spot in our New Student Orientation! Attending New Student Orientation is an exciting opportunity to jump-start your experience at UNC Pembroke. At orientation, you’ll register for your first semester classes, meet future classmates, and gain valuable insights into all the resources that make UNCP special. It's your first step in setting yourself up for success, so we recommend reserving your spot as soon as possible. To register, log into your MyUNCP portal, click the "Events" link, and choose the session that fits your schedule.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at 910-521-6243 or 910-521-6662. For more details, visit uncp.edu/orientation.  Helpful Tip: Look out for our registration open notification. Register for Housing (registration opens in mid-spring of each year)  To apply for campus housing, please go to braveweb.uncp.edu and, using your BraveWeb credentials, log in and click on the Housing Application link. Room Assignments are normally made in mid-July and are on a first-come-first-served basis. Freshman and sophomore students are required to reside on campus. Complete the required Health/Medical forms and information. Prior to orientation, submit your immunization record online via your Patient Portal (Medicat). New incoming students are required to provide a valid record of immunizations. Immunizations for enrollment should be obtained prior to coming to UNCP at a local physician’s office, health department, medical office or urgent care center. After you have registered for classes, complete the electronic health form online and accept or waive UNCP’s health insurance coverage. (This is not a requirement for students who are designated online-only program). Please note the insurance enrollment/waiver process will not be available until 72 hours after you have registered for classes. The immunization record, insurance enrollment/waiver and electronic health form can all be completed online via the Patient Portal (Medicat). If you have any questions about the health requirements, please feel free to call 910-521-6219

Get your Braves Card (Student ID). You will have your picture taken for your Braves Card when you attend New Student Orientation. You can pick up your Braves Card upon arrival at the beginning of the semester. Your Braves Card will serve as your access to residential facilities, dining, workout facilities, sporting events, library, cultural events and more!

Student Accounts. Student Account activity may be managed through your BraveWeb account. Through BraveWeb, you can view your bills, make payments, and set up authorized users (parents, employers, etc.) To view tuition, a net price calculator, the financial academic calendar and frequently asked questions regarding student accounts, visit the Bursar's website.

Have Final High School Transcript Sent. Request your final high school transcript to be sent after graduation. This information will need to be on file in the Admissions Office by July 1.

Early College students and those with transferable college work: Make sure a college transcript is sent to the Admissions Office prior to your New Student Orientation session to ensure you are registered for the correct courses your first semester.

Register for your Parking Permit. For students who plan to bring a car to campus, a parking pass is required.
