As You Choose Your Courses.....
The most important thing to achieve in your undergraduate career is a strong GPA average, but that is certainly not the only course-related consideration. Another important goal for a biology major is to make sure you are taking enough biology and other science courses to build a broad and firm foundation in your chosen area. While your coursework is largely dictated in the biomedical emphasis degree, the biology science ed. degree, and the medical technology degree, the general biology degree allows for a minimum of 33 "free" elective hours, and we would certainly encourage students to select additional biology and science courses to make up some of those elective hours.
