Dr. Joshua Busman, advisor
This Liberal Arts degree is primarily for the "musically inclined" student who is interested in pursuing a more broadly based/less musically specific program than the professional Bachelor of Music degrees. An audition on one's instrument/voice is required. Music courses comprise approximately 35% of the degree requirements. Specific areas of study include private music lessons on one's chosen instrument/voice, ensemble experience (choir, band, and/or orchestra), class or private piano, and courses in music theory, music history and literature, conducting, orchestration and arranging. In addition, the degree requires approximately 25% of the total to be non-music courses in one or more areas of interest to the student. A large variety of university minors would fit easily within these requirements.
