Crossover and Composites:
Hybrid Forms, Techniques and Media
On View: January 12 through February 20
Reception: Thursday, January 22, 3-4:30pm
The A.D. Gallery is pleased to present a juried exhibition of works that offer a contemporary look at progressive approaches to hybridization. Collectively, the fifteen artists in Crossover and Composites show a range of styles, materials and approaches that reflect the breadth and complexity of hybridization in contemporary art today. While some deconstruct the traditional roles of artist and curator, others focus on a unification of distinct media, while still others highlight the role of process to create a fusion of materials and techniques. Each piece is a strikingly unique testament to the innovation possible in contemporary art.
Participating artists: Elaine Abbe, Mary Ann Anderson, Janet Braun-Reinitz, David Bligh, McArthur Freeman, Ronald Gonzalez, Bethany Haeseler, Elizabeth Johnson, Yaejin Lim, Jill Parisi, Nathan Pietrykowski, Alan Skees, Janet Suarez, Sayaka Suzuki and Margi Weir.
