UNCP Senior Art Students Showcase Work in Fall Capstone Exhibition

Eight UNC Pembroke art students will showcase their work in the Fall 2026 B.A. Senior Capstone Exhibition, Resilience, Oct. 27 through Nov. 19 in the A.D. Gallery.

The exhibition will feature work by graduating seniors Katelynn Bass, Cecilia Beal, Sarah “Ari” Clark, Ariana Cooper, Daniya Davidson, Emily Gorden, Ryan J. Hauth and Cheyanne Jacobs.

"Resilience explores the strength, adaptability and emotional depth involved in confronting personal, social and environmental challenges. The students’ work spans a variety of subjects and artistic practices, reflecting their individual perspectives and creative approaches,” according to an artist group statement.

The exhibition features a range of media, including ceramics, mixed media, painting, sculpture, drawing and digital media.

The artists and their areas of focus include:

  • Katelynn Bass – Surrealism; painting and mixed media
  • Cecilia Beal – The Divine Feminine; sculpture
  • Sarah “Ari” Clark – Galactic skating sports competition web design; digital media
  • Ariana Cooper – Motherhood/Identity; painting and mixed media
  • Daniya Davidson – Global Warming; ceramics and mixed media
  • Emily Gorden – Childhood; ceramics and mixed media
  • Ryan J. Hauth – The Spaces Between, exploring abstraction and microbiology; drawing and painting
  • Cheyanne Jacobs – Nature; ceramics and mixed media

The artists will celebrate the exhibition with a reception from 4-6 p.m. on November 6, in the A.D. Gallery in Locklear Hall.

The Senior Capstone Exhibition provides students with an opportunity to present a body of work developed through their undergraduate studies and to share their creative work with the campus and broader community.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
